For me this is a very loaded portrait. This shot was a result of one of my highschool photography class assignments, and thus one of my first portraits. Taken during a time when I still lived in Indonesia, the location close to my dads office, a portrait of my (then) girlfriend, a girl I loved. Originally I had named it "lost in her own principles", and even if that comment has some truth, I think the picture is a better representation of the whole. That with all the passion and talk there may have been, there was enough of her that remained a mystery to me, the barrier a language I couldn't speak.
Thank you I lived in Indonesia for 9 years, attending Jakarta International School (JIS). My dad was working for Helen Keller International and my mum taught at JIS. So mostly I went to school, played sports and did the kid/teenage thing . I graduated there and then moved to Holland where I’ve been studying the last two years.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
